Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Winter has fallen it's first snow here in Ptown. Yah! Megan was ready to play at 7:00 this morning. She told Gunner how to make a snowball, got pulled in the sled by dad, helped shovel the sidewalk, and went for a walk by the river to see if we could find a duck. I love the snow! And just in time for Christmas!

Getting the X-mas tree

On the way up to the cabin to find a X-mas tree we found a turkey. Megan loved telling it about our plans from the car window. At the cabin we walked around the pool, ooing the steam that came up off the top of the water. At last we climbed the mountain and found a tree. Curtis chopped it down while Megan tried to slide down the hill in her sweat pants. (which didn't work). A great family outing! Happy Holidays!

Can anyone tell me what is going through her mind? Actions, and in this case facial expressions speak louder than words. Megan has a facial expression for every feeling she is trying hard not to convey. It worries me sometimes......

So on our very last weekend before school begins, my mom, sister, Curtis, Megan and I took a day trip and explored the mountain sides in search of huckleberries. Do you know how long it takes to find a handfull of berries? Do you know how long it takes Megan to eat a hand full of berries? We had a blast. Aside from picking berries we saw hundreds of butterflies, zillions of colorful flowers, a ginormous wild mushroom, and bones from a cow elk.

My new bike!

Can you believe this girl is almost big enough to ride a bike this big? Holly molly!
Curtis got this bike for Megan to learn on. She loves climbing on and off of it, but prefers to actually ride on her smaller one.

I am a solo gymnist!

Megan is no longer a "Mommy and Me" gymnist. She has graduated into a class where mom and dad get to sit on the bleachers and watch! Yah! You don't know how long I have waited for this day to come. In celebration, Megan got to pick out a new gymnastics onesie and liatard. She calls them her "nastics clothes". How cute it that?

County Fair 09

Though I didn't find it appropriate to show you what Megan found most exciting to do at the county fair (playing in the dirt littered by animal pee and poo) we did get some fun pics of the animals she found nearest and dearest to her heart. Enjoy!

Fish On!

Well here you have it. The last boating voyage Megan and I will partake with Curtis this summer. Believe it or not, he will be leaving for hunting soon and I am going back to work! I know. Sad.

ohh... my knee

How cute is she. Megan loves everything about her dad and aspires to be like him in every way. Curtis has numerous aches and pains. Lately he has been nursing his knee. I guess you could call this sympothy pain?

Megan and Adrienne riding bikes

Where Megan gets her talent from is beyond me. Here she and Adrienne enjoyed a morning of bike riding in the street.

Oregon Zoo 09

We took Megan to the Oregon Zoo. Her favorites of course were the elephants, monkeys, giraffe, penguins, and zebras. And because grandma took her we came home with a giraffe backpack, a t-shirt and hoodie sweater, a stuffed giraffe and elephant, a zoo binki, and a monkey and elephant cup. We had a blast!

Our family vacation 09

Our family took a vacation at the oregon coast visiting Rockaway Beach in June. Inbetween sandcastles, walks on the beach, and sea gulls, we visited local shops and bought fun souvineers while eating good local cuisine.

Summer Morning Smiles

What a great way to spend the morning. I have a freind who is an amazing up-and-coming photograper. Lacy Hemphill, a fesh face in the world of picture taking took some of the cutest pictures of Megan this morning. Thanks Lacy!
Enjoy!

This picture happens to be my favorite. I plan on printing many copies and hope to see them plastered on all of your friges, office desks, and mantles.

This picture was also a fave. I can't help but love her messy, curly hair and soft cuddley giraffe.

Some of the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. I love you bug!

Swingy Swingy

Megan loves to swing. Rescently she has learned to pull herself up into her swing, buckle herself in, and holler for mom or dad to come push her.
Silly goose.

Fahsion Diva

What 2 year old is not into dressing themselves? Megan is no exception. Lately not only do her clothes not match but she has taken to not wearing the same shoes.
We could all take fashion tips from this fashion diva.
